Just saw the first completed illustrations for my e-book ‘Gabriela’s Bear’ yesterday. They are so beautiful and stunning I got a lump in my throat. The illustrator is Coral McWilliam and her talent is awesome.
Thought I was coming to Clermont for relaxation and writing inspiration. Since arriving I’ve been interviewed, been invited to join in Story Time at the local library and had a poster made featuring me. All of this thanks to the efforts of my dear friend Olga who loves my writing. I am so energised and slightly stunned!
Me time September 19, 2010
It’s that time of the year again. Holiday time. No, not off on a glam ship’s tour or overseas trip, but snuggled up in a caravan in Central Queensland. It’s what I do when ‘Me Time’ comes around and I can write until my fingers and brain are numb. So these holidays my goal is to progress Crossed Worlds. Why is it taking me so long?
A gripping story September 3, 2010
Just finished reading Trent Jamieson’s ‘Death Most Definite’ and was hooked. I met Trent at the sci-fi week at Logan and bought a copy of his novel. I’m not usually a sci-fi fan but I couldn’t put this down. The plot is intriguing and the scenes so graphic Ireally felt as though I was there, very scary thought considering where the scenes were!
Thank you Jackie September 1, 2010
Following the publication of my latest e-book, The Man In The Moon, it was a great thrill for me to find myself featured in Pass It On, the ‘must have’ weekly, on-line, interactive, networking newsletter for those involved with or interested in the children’s writing industry. A big thanks to editor Jackie Hosking for making this happen!
Coming Soon…. August 27, 2010
I’m currently writing my first junior fiction novel about twin boys who discover on their thirteenth birthday that their father is an elfin prince. Before they have time to digest this information, a curse is unleashed and the boys find themselves thrown into a fight for life and a quest to remove the curse. I’ve been writing and re-writing the story for ages so it’s great that at last I’ll get some positive feedback. I’ll keep you updated.
Patience obviously does have its own rewards. After literally years of waiting, losing an illustrator, having to find another and numerous other obstacles, The Man In The Moon is finally published. It’s my second e-book and my friend Jenny’s first illustrated book.
Hope you enjoy my gentle little story about The Man.
